The digital learning program at Starr
is about creating a flexible space where teachers leverage tools- tutors,
online learning programs and their peers—to engage kids in a truly personalized
Digital learning blends both online learning programs, along with teacher led large group and small group instruction in a blended learning instructional model.
In each Starr classroom teachers have 10-12 student computers on which students rotate through during the day for personalized learning in reading and math. The online learning tools differentiate the instruction so that each student is working at their own level. This allows teachers to pull small targeted groups to provide additional support.
